Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down following standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
